We are incredibly fortunate to have an advisory board comprised of sustainability pioneers, award-winning designers and builders, nationally recognized authors and master craftsmen, whose collective expertise has helped shape and hone Bath Simple's innovative approach to bathroom design and bathroom remodeling.
Brenda Desjardins
A seasoned veteran in the residential building industry, Brenda Desjardins is the founder of New Home Marketing Services, a leader in market research, strategic planning and opportunity assessments for home builders and developers. She is an instructor for the Certified Site Professional Course sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders, a guest speaker at the International Builders Show and frequently teaches marketing and market research at John Hopkins University, where she earned her Master's of Science in Real Estate Development.
Laura Dye Lang
Formerly the Home Editor of Sunset Magazine, Laura Dye Lang has been a writer, editor and producer for a variety of home and interior design publications, including Home, Country Home, House Beautiful's Kitchens & Baths and House Beautiful's Houses and Plans. She currently runs Laura Dye Lang Communications.
Bruce Irving
Emmy Award-winning former executive producer of This Old House and series producer of This New House, Bruce Irving is a contributing editor and writer for Design New England, Boston Home, This Old Houseand Maine Home + Design magazines, and is also the Vice Chair of the Cambridge Historical Commission in Massachusetts. He runs his own renovation consulting company and has coordinated more than 50 high-profile home renovation projects.
David Johnston
Founder and President of What's Working, Inc., David Johnston has been at the center of the green building movement for more than three decades. His green building guidelines have provided the groundwork for a number of master planned communities, and he has trained thousands of builders and industry professionals in sustainable development. Johnston’s published works include Building Green in a Black & White World, Green Remodeling: Changing the World One Room at a Time, the best-seller, Green from the Ground Up, and Toward a Zero Energy Home.
Joe Keppler
For more than three decades, Joe Keppler has been involved in every aspect of home building and construction, and now consults for some of the nation's leading home builders. He is a managing partner of Custom Builders USA, a guest lecturer for home building and remodeling organizations across the country, and a technical committee member for the TeamWorks portion of Skills USA. He recently published his first suspense thriller, entitled Stix n' Brix.
Brad Lemley
Editorial Director of DrWeil.com, Brad Lemley is also an accomplished woodworker and home renovator. He has worked as a television reporter and anchor, a radio reporter and freelance writer for The Washington Post, Life, Discover, among other leading periodicals, and co-authored two books, including It’s Not What Happens to You, It’s What You Do About It.
Peter Lemos
Author of numerous home building books including Home Design: Kitchen and Bath, and Kitchens for the Rest of Us, Peter Lemos is the former Editor-in-Chief of Home Magazine as well as House & Home Magazine. He currently works as a writer and editor for Weightless Media.
Charlie Wing
The author of more than 20 books on home repair and improvement including the Visual Handbook of Building and Remodeling and the best-selling How Your House Works, Charlie Wing is also the co-founder of the Shelter Institute and Cornerstones owner-builder schools. He developed and hosted the national PBS energy conservation series, Housewarming with Charlie Wing, and has made over 400 radio and television appearances as Energy Spokesperson for Dow Building Solutions.
Greg Farr
Currently Senior Vice President for RollEase Inc, and formally part of the executive team at Hunter Douglas and Springs Window Fashions, Greg Farr is a leader in the window coverings industry. Farr has a successful track record of leading product and market creation teams where he has been responsible for the development and launch of more than 100 new products. His work has received numerous industry awards and recognition.
